Our client is an established and successful provider of specialist equipment and machinery relating to the printing/packaging industry who are part of a global organisation. The UK office based in the Bristol area are currently recruiting for an Electrical Service Engineer / Service Technician / International Service Engineer.

Salary Package: 35 – 40 k OTE per annum + 5k bonus

Location: Bristol based but working in various countries mainly in the EMEA
Hours: 39 per week core hours + overtime

As an Electrical Service Engineer / Service Technician / International Service Engineer
you will be a key member of the Service team, supporting and participating with installations, repair and maintenance as well as customer training and providing on-site/remote customer technical assistance.
This support includes attendance at the Bristol facility to work with the team and assist remotely when not at customer’s sites. The role will involve working abroad, predominantly in Europe often in teams of two engineers but will also involve working at customer sites in the Uk.
The Electrical Service Engineer / Service Technician / International Service Engineer position requires assembly and troubleshooting skills attributed to Electrical, PLC Control systems, IT and basic mechanical understanding and practical skills.
The PLC skills would be fault finding rather than re programming (This can be done by a company PLC specialist remotely), dialling in and interrogating systems, experience with AC/servo drives, control drives remote communication for PLC systems are also advantageous.
The Electrical Service Engineer / Service Technician / International Service Engineer
would have a background in the packaging, printing or other special purpose machinery industries however general Electrical engineering/maintenance with the ability to read/interpret engineering drawings would be also be a good fit.
The ideal candidate will be City & Guilds, NVQ or HNC Electrical or equivalent qualified however similar technical qualifications and practical expertise and or a comparable work history could be suitable. A full driving licence is essential for this role and the availability to travel internationally which will involve working weekends although travelling time and paid rest days are also part of the package.
