Our client, an established bakery providing quality products to high-end stores, is looking for a bakery operative to join their growing team. The work can be fast-paced and demanding.
Working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday – Thursday at the moment, but will be 45 hours per week during July – December, which is their peak seasonal period.
Suitable candidates must have food production experience, ideally within a bakery. Full training will be given on their machines and processes. Good numeracy is essential, as well as good reading and writing skills, as there will be paperwork involved and checking of quantities and volumes.
This is a physical role which involves lifting heavy trays of cakes in and out of the ovens.
Food Safety Certificates would be an advantage, but previous food preparation and handling experience is essential.
