£24,000, Burgess Hill, Monday to Friday 08:45am - 5pm (1 hour lunch), 20 days holiday & bank holidays & Christmas Break, Health cash plan, death in service & critical illness cover, parking, pension, team events

The Role

Due to growth, a rare opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Administrator to join the small UK office of a business who distribute medical products and components globally. Working as part of a very small team, and reporting into the Finance Manager, you will provide a range of supporting finance and general administrative duties to help ensure the smooth running of the office.

  • Purchase Ledger administration - managing invoicing queries, setting up payments, filing, updating contractor information
  • Expenses - recording expenses of sales reps, analysing expenditure and ensuring all receipts are present and accurate
  • Mileage - manage the recording of sales rep mileage, collating mileage photos and cross checking the information supplied is accurate
  • Maintenance of company car records
  • Checking and maintaining records for HMRC of imported goods through the UPS website
  • Occasional credit control
  • General administrative support to the Office Manager and Sales Director

Requirements

For this varied role, we would expect the successful Accounts Administrator to be able to be able demonstrate some experience of supporting finance operations. You will also be a keen and willing administrator who is happy to turn their hand to whichever task required - as a small business, sometimes it is all hands-on-deck and the flexibility to take on non-finance related tasks will be essential. You will have excellent communication skills and be a competent user of Microsoft Office (and comfortable using Excel).
