Assistant Management Accountant - Fixed Term Contract

We are currently recruiting an Assistant Management Accountant for a Fixed Term Contract. This role is based in Harrogate, working with a fantastic team of people.
The main purpose of this Assistant Management Accountant role is to support the Management Accountant. You will be an integral part of the Finance team, assisting with the forecasting and budgeting for the business. You will provide vital assistance in the preparation of month end management reporting and you will analyse current processes and procedures.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage month end stock count and inventory
• Accounting and variance analysis
• Posting journals and investigating discrepancies
• Dealing with queries
• Producing monthly reports
• Quarterly forecasting and budgeting
• Translating financial information, ready to present to departmental Managers

Requirements:

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to accurately analyse data
• Excellent numeracy and IT skills
• The ability to translate financial data
• Pro active, enthusiastic and ambitious
• The ability to communicate well at all levels
• AAT qualified
• Working towards ACCA or CIMA qualifications
• Previous experience in a similar role
