Thirsk, £14-£15 p/hr DOE, 40hrs per week, permanent, progression, free parking, company profit share bonus scheme, company pension

Opportunity for a Bench Joiner to work for a high end joinery manufacturer in the Thirsk area. We are very interested to hear from candidates with significant wood working experience, you will be responsible for producing high quality, bespoke products in a workshop environment.

The role:

• Working with hardwoods to produce furniture components
• Operating machines such as a cross cut saw, rip cut saw, cabinet sander, edge sander, linishers, a spindle moulder, band saw, doweller and orbital sander to make items bespoke to customer requirements
• Producing one-off and small batch products
• Work to high quality standards
• Work to production targets
• Work in line with health and safety standards

The person:

• Will have confident experience of working as a Bench Joiner, training will be given on company standards and processes
• Have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Be reliable with a good record of attendance and time keeping
• Be professional, hard working and conscientious
• Ability to read and work to drawings
• Proven background in producing high quality components
