We are delighted to be exclusively working with our prestigious educational client in their search for a Data Systems Manager to join their busy support team. This is an exciting role for someone who has a solid understanding of custom report witing using SQL server report services, and a proactive approach with an excellent ability to manage duties and workload.
This role will be vital in working with key colleagues to oversee, develop and maintain the use of data, providing clear and concise information reports and to ensure the data runs are accurate and on time.
The Role:
- Develop the current MIS System (iSAMS) and oversee its supporting systems and services
- Provide support to all staff to facilitate their use of iSAMS
- Provide advice and input to the school's overall systems strategy
- Maintain a working knowledge of any systems linked to iSAMS, to ensure smooth integration between them
- Maintain a clear understanding of GDPR
- Develop and support the various workflows in place for the Admissions team
- Undertake all necessary preparatory and provision of the MIS system for each academic year
- Provide the export of data required by internal sources and external organisations
- Maintain report formats and templates using Visual Studio and SQL
- Audit and document the system configuration, to ensure correct allocation of functions and permissions
- Be first point of support for the iSAMS and associated services, liaising with users and providers on any errors, development requests, or problems encountered
- Undertake the induction of training new staff in the use of the MIS System, including creating appropriate training materials
The Person:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong IT skills on a range of systems, including Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of iSAMS is desirable but not essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a team, and independently using own initiative
- A flexible and adaptable approach with the ability to prioritise duties
- Strong attention to detail
