Our Grantham based engineering company are looking for an experienced Design Engineer within an engineering setting, as an addition to their design office. Our client prides themselves on being a British based manufacturing company who deliver their products on a worldwide scale. They have an excellent reputation in the industry providing quality products.

As Design Engineer you will be responsible for designing heavy duty mechanical products and will have a focus on R&D side of things to help bring out new, innovative products.

Duties as Design Engineer include;

- Create detailed design documents and drawings using SolidWorks and 3D CAD

- Design, create, assemble and test prototypes.

- Be hands on with design, work in the shop floor area to assemble and fabricate pieces

- Estimate time and costs required to complete projects.

- Create designs to enhance current production machines performance and aesthetics.

- Analyse current designs and build technical solutions that deliver our client's goal.

In order to be considered as Design Engineer candidates must have.

- AutoCAD, Pro Engineer or SolidWorks experience

- Enjoy working as part of a team with Management, Engineers and Design personnel

- Have mechanical design exposure in heavy engineering arena including fabrication, hydraulic, engine, and electrical wiring

This role would be suitable for anyone from mechanical design background with experience of R&D

Working either 39 hours over 4 days or 5 days my client can be flexible to a degree as long as core hours of 39 per week are achieved.
