Estimator / Specification Support (Architectural) - Doncaster - £24-28k - 28 days holidays increasing to 33, Mon-Fri, pension, life assurance

- Estimator / Specification Support

- £24,000 to £28,000 per annum

- 28 days holidays per year (20+8) 1 extra per year up to 33 (25 plus 8)

- Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm - 1 hr for lunch

Our client, a nation wide provider of archetectural systems, are keen to recruit an Estimator / Specification Support to work closely with the external sales teams, customers and contractors, supporting the successful management and completion of a wide range of projects. Training will be provided for candidates with a degree level qualification so this role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in the Construction / Architectural industry or someone already in a similar estimating support role.

Responsibilities Estimator / Specification Support include:

- Calculating budget costs and rates for Architects and Main Contractors

- Providing material estimates and quotations for Sub Contractors using in-house estimating software

- Running thermal calculations & u-values and carrying out basic structural calculations using excel based software

- Specification writing and providing technical advice & solutions

- General admin duties when required

To apply for the position of Estimator / Specification Support you will need:

- Proficient with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)

- A College or University level qualification in construction or other relevant subjects

- Ability to read and interpret Architectural Drawings and Specifications

- Basic CAD skills (would be advantageous)

- Knowledge of Aluminum architectural systems (would be advantageous)

- Ability to work as part of a team with good interpersonal and communication skills is essential
