Grounds Maintenance Technician/ Installation Technician/ Horticulture Operative - Bitton, Bristol. £19,000 per annum + benefits

An opportunity has arisen within an established company who are now recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Technician/ Installation Technician/ Horticulture Operative to join their ever expanding team. Based in the Bitton area of Bristol, this position will be working full time Monday to Friday on a temporary to permanent basis. This opportunity will see you working within an upbeat and friendly team who work well with each other in a modern working horticulture environment.

The Grounds Maintenance Technician/ Installation Technician/ Horticulture Operative role will involve grass cutting, strimming, maintaining shrubs, hedges and trees, litter picking and weed control, manually unloading/loading/ delivering plant materials. General warehouse duties such as checking of goods shipped on time and accurately and warehouse health and safety regulations maintained. Strong organisation and a keen eye for detail would be ideal for this aspect of the role to be carried out with great accuracy.

The Grounds Maintenance Technician/ Installation Technician/ Horticulture Operative must to be willing to do manual work as heavy lifting will be involved and be able to work with or as part of a team and will need to be able to use own initiative as the successful candidate will be required to report any site issues that you have identified and also will be maintaining a diary of works that have been completed.

The successful candidate will need excellent customer service skills and a polite, courteous attitude as they will be the candidate must be willing to work hard and able to integrate well with others. Landscaping/horticultural experience would be very advantageous, however it is not essential for the role.

The Grounds Maintenance Technician/ Installation Technician/ Horticulture Operative will work 40 hours a week, the working hours start at 08:00am until 17:30pm. The pay rate will be £9.13ph with a pension scheme and 28 days holiday including statutory. A full UK clean driving license is essential for this role.
