A permanent position for a Health and Safety Officer wishing to expand their experience by joining a forward-thinking manufacturer for whom H&S is paramount and respected throughout the site.

As the Health and Safety Officer, you will support the QHSE Manager in the maintenance and improvement of the H&S systems, processes and procedures. Provide support in the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of the importance of health and safety, support the managers to maintain safe working environments. Ongoing review of risk assessments, creating new risk assessments where necessary and to act to mitigate the impact and likelihood of risks.

To be successful, it is preferred that you will have a NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) in Occupational Safety & Health, NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) is essential as well as good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety best practice and appropriate experience of service delivery within a manufacturing Industry. It is also essential that you can work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively, have excellent IT and communication skills.
