Health Safety and Environmental Officer

A great opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and qualified Health Safety and Environmental Officer to join our established and elite manufacturing firm who are specialists in their industry.

  • Salary: £30,000pa to £35,000pa d.o.e

  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8am till 4.30pm

We are currently looking to recruit a Health Safety and Environmental Officer who will take autonomy of the Health Safety and Environmental function for the business, duties will include but will not be restricted to:

  • Conducting HSE inductions for new employee, devising and delivering update HSE courses to all existing workforce. Monitoring renewal dates for required HSE courses. Arranging external HSE support if required.
  • Managing, maintaining and updating COSHH requirements for the site.
  • Investigate and compile report on all accident and incidents on site, including analysing root cause, sharing finding with Management.
  • Implementing safety s.
  • Maximising revenue stream for the department by providing excellent customer service, despatch efficiency and identifying any further spare part needs.
  • Liaising with production and external suppliers.
  • Picking and packing components via automated pick system and advising customer of ETD's.
  • Co-ordinating and manage all goods in and out for the business, investigate any irregularities both internally and externally.
  • Arranging courier collections for both national and international orders, negotiating prices. Liaising directly with courier company regarding any change in requirements or delays.
  • Providing administration support to team of mechanical fitters when required.
  • Providing a complete customer service using our ERP system to include spares quotations, sales order entry, supplier orders and packing slips.

The successful Spares Supervisor/Parts Controller will ideally have previous Spares Supervisor/Parts Controller experience from an engineering, manufacturing, or vehicle repair background. However we are also keen to hear from candidates who have gained strong Customer Service skills from an internal or external trade counter role, who have the ability to transfer their skill set into a busy Spares department. As an individual it is essential that you are able to demonstrate the ability to multi-task, prioritise and communicate well with others, and take autonomy of your job role.
