Hotel Reception Manager

£28,000-30,000, 40 hours per week, working 5 days over 7 morning and evening shifts, immediate start temporary position with potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

We are currently recruiting a Hotel Reception Manager for this beautiful hotel. You will work closely with all departments within the hotel to ensure a first class experience to all hotel guests. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience working for a luxury hotel brand. We are looking for 4 - 5 star service standards.

As Hotel Reception Manager duties will include:

  • Answering all incoming telephone calls with a friendly & professional manner
  • Checking guests in and out on the front desk
  • Dealing with customer complaints and queries
  • Assisting with enquiries & reservations for the hotel, restaurant, conferences & events
  • Daily administrative duties for bookings and reservations
  • Processing payments
  • Ensuring a smooth operation and hand over between shifts
  • Providing a first class customer service at all times
  • Communicating well with other departments within the hotel
  • managing a team, organising roats and responsibnilities for the team
  • Ensuring all team members are exceeding expectations


As Hotel Reception Manager someone with previous Hotel Reception experience would be preferred, we would really like someone who has worked in either a 4 or 5 star hotel brand and is looking for a new challenge. We can provide live in accomodation for a short term period. This role would suit someone who has worked in hospitality or as receptionist, reservationist, or front of house manager.

  • Must have the ability to cope under pressure
  • A keen eye for detail
  • Good IT and communication skills
  • Previous experience working in a hotel the catering and hospitality industry preferred but not essential

The hours of work will be 07:00am- 15:30 and 14:30-21:00. You will work 5 days over 7 so will be required to work evenings and weekends.
