The role:
Our client, a dynamic and forward thinking manufacturer, are recruiting an IT Technician. If you are passionate about technology and have a proven track record in IT , we want to hear from you!
Main Duties of the IT Technician:
• Support staff in effectively using computing technology.
• Merge extensive IT technical knowledge with a strong focus on exceptional customer service.
• Engage in organisation-wide IT projects and initiatives.
• Identify and resolve system hardware, software, and user issues.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex IT problems.
• Offer support for software applications.
• Conduct desk-side training for enterprise applications upon request.
• Request hardware and software through the requisition system as directed by the supervisor.
• Support all IT-related hardware.
• Aid the team in managing inventory of hardware and software assets.
• Help maintain on-premises servers, virtual servers, and services.
• Work within the IT department to provide 1st, 2nd and 3rd line support for all staff.
• Coordinate with systems administrators to ensure IT infrastructure stability and efficiency.
• Assist in the assembly, configuration, upgrade, and installation of all IT hardware as needed.
The ideal IT Technician will have the following skills and abilities:
• Background in either 1st, 2nd or 3rd line IT support.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365, OneDrive, Teams and SharePoint
