Machine Operator

Machine Operator Required, Northampton Round Spinney based company, Permanent Role Salary from £28000 - £35000 DOE Rotating Shift Monday to Friday 6 - 2 / 2 - 10 Expanding new business with excellent benefits.

We have an excellent opportunity for a machine operator to join our client who are a specialist printing and packaging manufacturer. Our client manufactures printed packaging used within the FMCG markets. We are looking for someone who has experience as a Laminator from within the printing or packaging industries.

The Role

Reporting to the General Manager you will be supporting all production activities. You will contribute towards operating efficiency's whilst remaining compliant with all safety and quality procedures. The job will require the use of various items of equipment and data entry facilities, where training will be given if required. The role will involve the following

• To run the digital print machine, ensuring the highest quality and standards.
• To work to the agreed and set SOP's (standard operator procedure)
• To comply and engage with SSOW Procedures
• To complete and record and retain all quality actions and requirements.
• To follow all hygiene / BRC / safety requirements.
• Assist with running the slitting machine.

Skills & Attributes

To be considered for this role, the candidate will

• Have worked within a packaging or printing business
• Ideally have experience of either Laminating or Slitting (both would be preferred)
• Have experience of operating machines used within Printing or Packaging companies.
• To have knowledge of BRC / Hygiene Safety Standards
• Someone who is a Team Worker, who wants to progress and learn new skills
• Be able to work on a rotating shift pattern one week 6 - 2 and then 2 - 10
