Maintenance Engineer - Night Shifts

Night Shift - 12 hour shifts 6pm-6am
£34,000per annum

Our client is a market leader in the logistics and cold storage industry, recently taken over and heavily invested in by their new owners; they are now looking to recruit an experienced Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a team of 8 working across a 24 hour operation. This role is to work on the night shift.

The Role:
This is a very busy role, and will include:
- 99% Reactive maintenance to keep the operation running on a busy night shift.
- 1% PPM
- Attending breakdowns and maintaining the machinery, to reduce down-time. The machines include conveyors, cranes, lifts, shutter doors, and bay lifts/levellers.

This position is based within a cold store, working in temperatures as low as -20 degrees. All relevant PPE will be provided, including specific freezer clothing and footwear.

The Candidate:
- Will be a confident team player.
- Confident, fit and in general all round good health - this is a very physical role.
- Be Health & Safety aware
- Have knowledge/experience of cranes/conveyors and automation.
- Have a strong mechanical AND electrical background, including min 17th edition.
- Will have held a similar role previously.
