An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Planner to join a very successful, secure and growing business in the Sheffield area. They are a worldwide company with almost 300 employees and are very well established within their industry. As a Maintenance Planner you will be working across two units.
Your role as the Maintenance planner will involve scheduling maintenance work weekly, making sure a list of machines and tools is kept up to date to ensure the smooth running of maintenance and production. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager your daily duties will include:
- Planning scheduled maintenance work weekly to improve workforce productivity and quality by eliminating potential delays.
- Organise and reduce unscheduled downtime by using preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Liaising with operations and suppliers to present the following weeks maintenance plans.
- Scheduling and planning maintenance work efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring all appropriate assets are available for the upcoming maintenance plans.
- Producing daily KPIs to improve current maintenance processes.
- Prioritising crucial work requests and assigning the correct work order type.
- Planning the plant shutdown activities to ensure productivity is met within a tight deadline.
- Undertaking field planning using mechanical and electrical aid memoirs.
The successful Maintenance planner will have:
- An ISOH qualification.
- Previously worked in maintenance either electrical or mechanical.
- Confidence in delivering weekly Maintenance schedules.
- Previous experience working with systems such as Workmate or Fixx.
- Great organisational and planning skills.
- Good reporting and data handling computer skills.
This role would ideally suit someone who has worked as a Maintenance Planner, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Maintenance Technician or Maintenance Coordinator within an engineering or production environment.
