Our client, a well established company based in Stonehouse are considered the world leaders supplying in the oil and gas industry are currently seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join their team due to their continuous expansion.

Main responsibilities:

Experience in the assembly of mechanical fabrications using basic hand held, electric and pneumatic tools

• Assembly of large bore (up to 300mm) carbon and stainless steel flanged process pipework inc. connections of silencers, valves and control equipment
• The forming, install and termination of stainless steel instrument and process pipework and associated controls and instrumentation
• The manufacture of minor and similar small fabrications using hand held powered tools.
• Basic mechanical fitting and assembly

The ideal candidate will have the confidence and ability to work unaided and also when required work within a team. A positive 'can do' attitude is expected. A good understanding of engineering drawings including the interpretation of schematics and pipework layouts is essential. Lifting and slinging experience would be an advantage.
