Starting Salary of £24,242k + shift allowance and overtime

We are recruiting for our very well established and long standing engineering business in the heart of Grantham. They are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join the company due to continued growth and an ever growing and robust order book.

Working Monday to Friday to start for training and settling in the hours would be Mon - Thurs 7.30am - 4.15pm and Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm.

After training you will move to a shift pattern:

• Early Shift 06.00-14.15 Monday-Thursday 06.00-12.30 Friday

• Late Shift 14.15-00.30 Monday-Wednesday 14.15-22.30 Thursday

The Mechanical Fitter will demonstrate:

• Proven track record and be competent in electro-mechanical knowledge,

• Fault-finding, identifying and problem-solving abilities.

• Stripping down generators, motors, gearboxes, fans, pumps from scratch, cleaning and repairing

• Take responsibility for repair and service paperwork and job sheets.

We are looking for candidates who have worked as a mechanical fitter in a fast paced workshop skilled in electrical, automotive, industrial maintenance, power generation, electrical, production line, or similar settings.
