Mechanical Fitter

Doncaster £31k - £33k (mornings and afters) plus overtime

Mechanical Fitter:

Dis-assemble, overhaul and re-build parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings

Verify parts against the appropriate drawings and/or standards which apply

Using the correct tools and processes

Low level wiring of parts & assemblies and some testing (training provided)

Adhere to product specific procedures and complete quality records

Report problems and failures, suggesting and implementing improvements where appropriate

The successful Mechanical Fitter will:

Solid experience of bench fitting within engineering

Or experience of working within the automotive industry repairing or overhauling cars

Would require (NVQ/ONC) or equivalent in mechanical engineering

The benefits of the Mechanical Fitter

Starting salary: £27,619.89 plus 12.5% shift allowance (£31,072.38)

Salary after training: £29,632.22 plus 12.5% shift allowance (£33,336.25)

Hours: 37.5hrs; 6am-2pm and 2pm -10pm rotating

Holidays: 25 plus stats

NB the higher rate is paid when an employee has completed all internal competencies, there is no minimum time set for this, but can take up to six months
