Mechanical Shift Technician

Mechanical Shift Technician - £49.5k – shifts – Doncaster - 12-hour shift (2 days, 2nights and 4 off)  

The job:

Working with one of the UKs leading recycling and renewable energy manufacturers, you will be part of a maintenance team mostly purely electrical or mechanical. This opportunity is for a mechanical technician and is responsible for the day-to-day mechanical maintenance, PPM and emergency breakdown repair of all industrial plant and machinery. You will work in what can be a challenging environment with new and old equipment, ensuring processing is not interrupted as this industry is growing and essential to our planet sustainability.

Requirements:

It is expected that the successful candidate will have proven mechanical experience in a heavy industry, manufacturing or process environment, a recognised mechanical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification. As the mechanical maintenance technician, fabrication skills are essential as is previous experience within a processing or factory environment. Refrigeration experience would be advantageous and of course, you’ll be happy with old machinery as well as the new stuff.

Benefits:  

The basic salary for the mechanical maintenance technician is £49.5k

Hours: Ave 42 hours per week; 6am-6pm & 6pm-6am (2 days, 2nights & 4 off) over an 8-week rolling rota.

Holidays: 17 shifts p/a (equivalent to 25 days p/r)

Pension: Company contributions min of 7% up to 10%
