Our Grantham based client is looking for a passionate professional to head up their dynamic Logistics Team. If you are ready to make a significant impact in a growing company and drive excellence, we want to hear from you!

You will play a crucial role in driving operational performance and service excellence through transport operations across two sites overseeing the distribution of products to ensure high levels of service for customers.

Some Key Responsibilities will be:

• Health and Safety: Guide and promote health and safety excellence across all sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and fostering a culture of safety.

• Leadership: Motivate and develop a high-performing team of 4 including Managers and Supervisors, to achieve operational excellence and continuous improvement.

• Operational Strategy: Collaborate with the Managing Director to implement operational strategies that align with business objectives and enhance efficiency.

• Process Optimisation: Identify and implement opportunities to optimise processes, reduce costs, and improve the flow of goods through our distribution centres. Steer the adoption of new technologies and systems to enhance operational capabilities.

• Supply Chain Management: Ensure seamless coordination between warehouse and transportation, enhancing customer experience and value. Manage budgets effectively, driving cost-saving initiatives and maintaining high service levels.

• Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular reports and analysis, presenting actionable insights for ongoing improvement.

In order to succeed you must have proven experience in logistics and transport management within a fast-moving distribution or FMCG operation, with a deep knowledge of logistics best practices and distribution principles.

Proven track record of leading and implementing initiatives to drive operational efficiency and support rapid business growth. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop multi-disciplinary teams across diverse operations. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Intermediate Excel, and MS Office skills.
