Operations Manager / General Manager / Site Services Manager
Job Title: Operations Manager / General Manager - Internal Sales, Service and Operations, Distribution
Industry: Foodservice, Catering Equipment, Commercial Food Equipment
Salary: up to £35,000 per annum (DOE) + uncapped OTE business development opportunity
Hours: 36.25 hour week. Monday-Friday 9am - 5.15pm

An amazing opportunity has risen for a suitably industry experienced General Manager / Operations Manager / Site Service Manager to join and operationally lead a strong existing Service/Sales team and take up a key strategic support position at Senior Management Level. Our client are the UK representatives for market leading foodservice manufacturers from around the world, supplying commercial catering equipment and they are at a pivotal time in their business development so it is the perfect time to appoint. A great varied and interesting role with plenty of scope and potential for the right candidate to grow with the business.
As the successful Operations Manager / General Manager / Site Service Manager you will strategically lead the service operations of the UK Branch and support a drive in new business opportunities.
·Strategic management of the sales order processing and sales administration team.
·Line management of service, parts & warehouse operation and staff, purchasing and stock and administration team
·Lead and sales generation strategy for internal sales team and technical product knowledge support for external sales team
·Management of stock purchasing and stock level control, including liaison with oversees suppliers and freight forwarders
·Supervision of site services and health and safety policy
·Develop and implement KPI's to support an monitor departmental efficiency and cost control
·Proven experience and capability of leading and mentoring a team in an operations/customer services/sales environment
·The capability to understand and challenge the existing structure and systems and to work with the team to develop and refine internal processes
·An appreciation and understanding of wider commercial and financial challenges and how this influences operation
·Knowledge of the Foodservice industry and/or equipment service/service engineers - desirable
·Strong leadership and management skills
·The ability to help foster and support a culture of enthusiasm based on competent and versatile employees who are comfortable with change.
·The ability to challenge and present new ideas for further and new business development
·The ability to effectively problem solve
·Excellent leadership, coaching and office skills and great business acumen
