The Role

Our client, who are recognised as being at the cutting edge of their sector in technology, is looking to appoint an Operations Planner.


• Processing sale orders / sales demand into the planning MRP system in a timely manner and accurately, ensuring that production schedule requirements are planned to meet both company and customer delivery dates, whilst focussing on operations planning constraints and delivery OTIF

• Ensuring all MRP results are actioned and delivered within a given timescale which ensures 95% availability of parts on site to line or supply

• Inventory Management to keep within given targets whilst actively seeking to reduce Inventory

• Laser and Fabrication Planning

• Managing engineering Change Requests

• Forecasting

• Using supplier portals and bespoke ordering methods

• Processing invoice queries


The successfully appointed Operations Planner will have the following skills and abilities:

• Experience within a Planning or Purchasing department

• Highly skilled at building and maintaining effective and productive relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers

• Analytical, numerically astute with strong proven problem identification and solution abilities

• Proficient with Excel and Word

• Good working knowledge of MRP systems (LN) and MRP Inventory management and planning in general (desirable)

The Package

• 37.5 hours per week working 08.00am-5pm Monday to Wednesday (on site), 08.00 - 16.30 on a Thursday (onsite), and 08:00 - 12:00 on a Friday (working from home)
