Part Time Office Administrator
£14.50-£15.00ph (£11,310-£11,700 FTE) Thirsk, on site parking, working 15-20hours per week over 3 days, Tuesday to Thursday, Flexible working hours, monthly and quarterly bonus scheme, 33 days annual leave (FTE) Mondays and Fridays off.

We are currently recruiting an office administrator for this local manufacturing business in Thirsk.

The main purpose of this role is to take full responsibility of the purchasing department. You will oversee all incoming orders and manage the purchasing process. You will speak to suppliers and order all the required materials so understanding the products is essential however full training will be provided. You will manage stock levels, and order general consumables for the office and workshop and negotiate with suppliers where necessary.

Part Time Office Administrator Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all incoming orders from customers
  • Read daily/weekly job sheets
  • Create materials list for all orders and order directly from suppliers
  • Update and maintain accurate records, customer database, suppliers and pricing lists
  • Manage orders on the system from start to finish
  • Liaise with suppliers on lead times and delivery dates to manage scheduling of all orders
  • Communicate with the workshop to organise production schedule

Part Time Office Administrator Requirements:

  • Strong administration skills
  • Good communicator
  • Good IT skills including Excel, Outlook and Word and CRM system
  • Negotiation skills would be an advantage
  • Organised with good time management

This part time office administrator role based in Thirsk would suit someone who has worked in a busy office environment as a purchasing assistant, purchasing administrator, planner, scheduler or office manager who is looking for a step back. Previous experience in a purchasing role would be an advantage but full training can be provided.
