Hours: Thursday & Friday 8.15am - 5.15pm

THE CLIENT

Due to retirement a well established ManufacturingCompany in Huddersfield town centre are looking to recruit a Part Time Receptionist to work Thursday and Friday 8.15am - 5.15pm ( flexibility for holiday cover will also be required)

THE JOB:

Main Purpose of Job:

You will be first point of contact for clients and visitors upon arrival at the office, you will answer the telephone in an efficient, and professional manner ensuring client needs are met at all times.

Main Duties:

  • You will receive visitors to the office in a warm, welcoming, and professional manner
  • You will establish who they wish to see and advise the person concerned
  • All incoming telephone calls to the firm will be answered promptly, transferring calls to the appropriate person
  • You will record messages accurately and ensure that the messages are passed quickly to the appropriate person
  • General admin support of other departments admin tasks ie filing/invoice matching etc
  • You will maintain the reception area in a tidy state and follow the room logging procedure, updating the documentation as appropriate.
  • You will work closely with the Facilities and Services Team to ensure that all meeting room bookings are adhered to and where appropriate help to maintain the kitchen area in a clean and tidy manner
  • You will maintain a central electronic calendar to ensure meeting room and car parking availability
  • You will keep magazines and newspapers in a tidy state
  • You will maintain an accurate record of documents delivered and collected by hand
  • You will be expected to maintain holiday cover and work with your colleagues to ensure the seamless functioning of reception
  • You will carry out other administrative tasks, as required, to assist with the smooth running of the business

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION

  • Previous client care experience is expected
  • Proficient keyboard skills with experience of Microsoft packages including word and outlook
  • Excellent professional telephone manner
  • Excellent personal presentation and grooming
  • Reliable, discreet & conscientious with an attentive manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a flexible attitude, willing to adapt and act with initiative
  • Ability to maintain poise and professionalism when working under pressure
  • You will enjoy multi-tasking as the role can be very busy

BENEFITS & SALARY

The hours of work are Thursday and Friday 8.15am- 5.15pm. This role requires a January 2019 start and is paying between £8.25 p/h
