Production Planner required, Wellingborough based client, up to £35,000 DOE Monday to Friday working. A range of employee benefits available with possible hybrid once qualifying period has been completed.
We are looking for an experienced Production Planner to join our client who are established within the food industry.
Having previously worked in a production planning role within a Food Manufacturing or or Food supply chain environment, you will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. You will have responsibility for production planning of finished & semi-finished goods and a dealing with stock replenishment.
The production planner will be responsible for the following
Closely working with Demand Planner/ Supply Chain Manager to ensure accurate forecasts are received and challenged where appropriate.
To ensure that daily and weekly plans are determined and issued in a timely manner to the relevant areas.
Securing of material substitutions where necessary
Responsible for generating daily / weekly labour plans that optimise efficiency, minimise costs and satisfy customer demand.
Run monthly capacity and labour analysis to highligh potential medium to long term constraints
On-going monitoring of finished goods and raw material stocks
Ensure data information is correct for both imported and manufactured goods.
Regular communication with Customer Services highlighting any potential service issues in the short and medium term,
Be responsible for all stock management and replenishment of the warehouse.
Regular reporting of KPI's
Compliance with health and safety, data protection, food safety and quality.
Have a strong customer service ethos and have the desire to exceed customer expectations.
Operate as an effective member of the supply chain team to help one another push the boundaries of business performance.
To be considered for this role you will have previously worked in a production planning role within a Food manufacturing or Food supply chain environment. To have a background of Production scheduling and planning of at least 1 year is a prerequisite. You will have an excellent understanding of logistics stock controls, plus be able to demonstrate a track record of managing business demands. These requirements will be made up from the following skills and attributes
Have extensive knowledge and understanding of Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
Have knowledge of food safety requirements
Excellent communication skills and telephone manner
Experienced user of Microsoft package
Have the ability to prioritise and have excellent time management skills.
Be able to adapt to switching between tasks efficiently.
Have excellent organisational skills and have an eye for detail.
Be passionate about continuous improvement and the desire to learn.
Have a very methodical approach to day-to-day duties
