Production Team Leader

Excellent opportunity to join a world-class manufacturing business as a Production Team Leader. You will be responsible for the hands-on management of a team of 10 ensuring day to day production targets are met and quality levels are maintained. The role would suit someone with previous supervisory experience ideally in a target-driven manufacturing environment.

Managing production workers to ensure production targets

• Ensure work output meets the production schedule
• Follow up scrap and rework
• To ensure the right start of production including startup check sheets/procedure/first-off parts,
• To ensure the continuous accomplishment of standards
• Ensuring SOP's and giving instructions to correct any inadequate actions
• Effective handover to next shift.
• To analyse the previous day's production results with the supervisor
• Ensure correct application of work methods quality, safety, and environment
• To train any new starters/agency staff online.
• Assist in the implementation of improvements

The Person:

• Previous experience in a team leader or line manager role
• Knowledge of SOP's and working to targets
• Ideally from a manufacturing or similar background
• Knowledge of modern manufacturing techniques such as 5's and Kaizen
• Excellent communication skills
• Quality-focused and a good problem-solver
