Saw Operator

We have an excellent opportunity for a experienced Saw Operator to join a successful manufacturing company based in Avonmouth offering a salary of £28,400 per annum, plus benefits which include 33 days holiday, Bonus, Life Assurance, Pension, Onsite parking. Double days role (rotating each week) - Permanent position.

Reporting to the Production Manager and working as part of a team, this role would suit someone who has previously worked in an engineering or manufacturing environment and has an understanding of engineering drawings. Previous experience of working as a Saw Operator and working with either metal or wood would be ideal.

Duties of the Machine Operator will include:

• Following drawings and work orders to cut materials to size and thickness
• Checking materials and carrying out quality checks
• Inspecting first off, using tape, micrometers and calliper instruments
• Stamping and labelling finished goods
• Using FLT and some warehouse duties

The successful candidate will have previous machine operating experience and ideally have worked with metal parts and materials. You will be able to work from drawings and follow work instructions, as well as checking finished goods. In addition you will have good IT skills and enjoy working as part of a team in a fast paced, busy environment.

£24,901.50 per hour plus shift allowance (£3510 per annum)

Avonmouth, Bristol

Double day shift pattern - 6am to 2pm (Mon to Fri) & 2pm to 11.30 (Mon to Thurs)
