Saw Operator / Machine Operator - Up to £13.50 per hour plus benefits. Based in Yate - Hours are Midday to 10.30pm Mon to Thurs - Benefits include 28 days holiday (rising with service), Pension, Bonus, onsite parking. Temp to perm position to start ASAP

Our client are a successful and well established engineering company with a proven track record in their industry and are looking for a Saw Operator / Machine Operator to join their team. The successful candidate will ideally have worked within a stockholding environment (either Steel, Aluminium or Wood or Engineering) and have experience of operating cutting machines, with some understanding of working from drawings. You will also hold a forklift licence (Reach and Counterbalance preferred - will accept inhouse), although they will consider candidates who only hold a Counterbalance certificate.

Duties of the Saw Operator / Machine Operator will involve:

• Operating Saw Machines to cut material to size (will train)
• Loading and Unloading vehicles
• Putting stock away on racking
• Order picking and packing
• Taking part in stock checks (as and when required)

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar role and have excellent attention to detail, as well as good numeracy and literacy skills. This role will involve a mixture of forklift work to unload vehicles, as well as some handballing.
