Job Title: Senior Estimator
Location: Haywards Heath
Hours: 37.5 hour week, Monday to Friday 7.5 hours per day between 8.30am - 5.00pm (1 hour lunch break)
Salary: £40,000 - £65,000 pa

We are delighted to be working with our client in their search for an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic and lively team in Haywards Heath. Our client specialises in the refurbishment of commercial properties in London and the South of England, and they are searching for a conscientious candidate with experience, to provide accounts support to their contracts and Head Office functions.
You will play a key part within the team and delivering the estimating services as a face of the business, visiting new potential projects, meeting clients and consultant teams. You will be supported by the company's Project Managers and act as an ambassador for the business by promoting the company's capability and credentials, and there will be the requirement to visit the company's contracts and new projects when tendering.
The Role:
- Prepare cost budgets and cost estimates for new contracts
- Keep existing contracts up to date and maintain communication with the client
- Adhere to company standards and guidelines when analysing and providing estimations; focus on maximising profit and customer satisfaction, while minimising any potential risks to the company
- Prepare detailed, well-written proposals for each client
- Maintain relationships with existing clients and build relationships with new clients
- Work with project manager and design team to help with development
- Supporting Project Managers from pre contract to delivery on site, and final accounts
- Keep detailed records of all estimate documentation, including site assessments and contract terms
- Prepare and submit accurate financial documents
- Balance multiple proposals and estimations, ensuring each reaches the client by the deadline
- Capable of pricing from first principles
The Person:
- Previous experience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator is ideal
- Strong Customer-Facing Skills
- Ability to Manage Workloads
- Committed and flexible with strong analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good organisational skills
- IT literate and competent user of Microsoft Office excellent use of Excel
- Full Driving License
