Shift Electrician

Shift Electrician - £48,387k + bonus - Doncaster

Salary: £48,387.00 plus bonus (this includes the £1.50 guaranteed bonus)

Hours: Days; Monday - Thursday 6am - 6pm and Nights; Monday - Thursday 6pm-5am

Holidays: Starts at 5.6 weeks, increases with service to 6.4 weeks plus you can buy 1 extra week per year

Pension: Employee put in 5% employer put in 3%

Environment: Industrial, processing / manufacturing plant

The Shift Electrician will carry out fault finding and repair activities in the event of any breakdowns within the plant. In addition, planned maintenance schedules and projects, including supporting drawings and documents will be undertaken in line with scheduling.

Perform fault-finding and diagnosis on PLC controlled machinery from schematic drawings.

Carry out planned preventative maintenance in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and industry standard practices.

Analysis/Resolution/Improvement of Electrical faults and repairs.

Conduct installations of new electrical systems.

Work in safe manner, abide by all SOP's and risk assessments and follow 5S standards.

The Shift Electrician will need:

Electrical Apprenticeship, preferably to ONC standard with previous experience of working in a Maintenance Engineering role ideally within a warehouse, FMCG or similar automation environment.

PC Literate and with the ability to work safely under pressure, at heights and confined spaces.

Priority will be given to those with fault-finding and diagnosis experience with PLCs, experience with HMI/Automation control systems, good understanding of variable speed drives and setups and 18th Edition.
