Tool Room Engineer

Up to £35,000 d.o.e, up to 20% Shift Allowance + overtime, M - F 2.00pm - 10.00pm or Mon - Thurs 12.00pm - 8.00pm & Fri- 10.00am -6.00pm, Permanent, Immediate Start, Pension, Parking

Exciting opportunity to join a well-established company in Corby as a Tool Room Engineer, Tool Maker, Tooling Engineer. The Tool Room Engineer or Tool Maker or Tooling Engineer will:

  • You will be looking after existing tools as well as research and development of new press tools, scrap savings and development of improvements on existing press tools.
  • Reactively respond to any tooling issues on machinery for duration of shift to minimise
  • You will be a traditional time served apprentice trained Toolmaker or Mechanical Engineer who has a good understanding of press tools, CNC, lathes and manual machinery.
  • Able to draught and/or understand technical drawings and relay this to the Design Engineer.
  • The successful Toolmaker will be required to work on maintaining existing press tools making improvements for scrap savings etc.
  • Able to work on development of new press tools working on new products and to test and tool them.
  • The Toolmaker will be working with conventional lathes and tools day to day making adjustments and improvements utilising lathes, milling machinery.

Salary: £32000 - £35000 per annum

Benefits: Permanent, up to 20% shift allowance per hour, regular overtime, pension, parking, Xmas company night out, Xmas gift vouchers

Hours: M-F 2:00pm- 10:00pm or Mon - Thurs 12:00pm - 8:00pm & Fri 10:00am - 6:00pm (40 hours per week)
