Tooling Engineer

£40,000 per annum plus shift allowance, permanent, days and nights, Sheffield, 32 days holiday, private healthcare, generous pension, life assurance, gym membership, easily accessible via public transport.

Due to a strong period of growth for a multi award winning manufacturing company in Sheffield, we have an opportunity for a Tooling Engineer to join their team. Based at their modern UK Head office site this role is commutable from both Sheffield and Rotherham and accessible via public transport. Reporting to the Technical Manager your duties will include:

• Maintain, repair and operate mould tools
• Attending tool trials
• Quality checking products for any issues
• Assist and perform repairs within the company
• Working under pressure to ensure constant progress

The successful Tooling Engineer will ideally:

• Have experience as a toolmaker
• Be knowledgeable on CAD/CAM processes
• Have good communication
• Be willing and open to learn
• Have worked in a similar role
• Have strong organizational and be able to work well as part of a team and independently

This role would suit someone currently working as a tooling engineer, tool manufacturer, tool maker, injection mould toolmaker, tooling technician, toolroom engineer Inspector or Technician within a Manufacturing, Injection Moulding, Casting, Engineering or Production environment.
