TRAINEE PRINT MACHINIST, £14 ph - £16ph, OVERTIME AVAILABLE, PERMANENT AFTER A SUCESSFUL TEMPORARY PERIOD, IMMEDIATE START, 3 DAY ROTATING CONTINTENTAL SHIFTS, PENSION, PARKING

We are working with a well-established company based in Northamptonshire, specialising in Print. Our client is known for its commitment to quality and innovation, and they are looking for a Trainee Print Machinist to join their skilled team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within the print industry, with full training provided and the chance to grow within the company.

We are seeking a skilled individual with a manufacturing background, ideally with exposure to print industry principles. No prior experience in print is necessary, although a keen interest in machinery and an eagerness to learn will be key to success in this role.

Duties of the Trainee Print Machinist:

  • Assist in the set-up, operation, and maintenance of various printing machines.
  • Work as part of a team to gather raw materials as part of client specification.
  • Correctly identify and select colours required of specification and correctly connect.
  • Learn and apply print production processes, ensuring quality control standards are met.
  • Support experienced machinists and technicians in troubleshooting and machine maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' experience working within a manufacturing environment (no prior print experience necessary).
  • A strong interest in machinery and print production principles.
  • Strong mechanical mindset and desire to develop skills.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
  • A desire to build a long-term career in the print industry.

Location: Corby

Salary: £14ph - £16ph

Benefits: Beneficial Holiday Pattern, Pension, Parking, Overtime and Training

Hours: 12 hour Rotational Continental Shift Pattern (3 day week)
