We're looking for highly motivated and qualified fitters or technicians to work on the latest modern electrical vehicles. We are keen to hear from anyone from a military background within REME, Royal engineering, Navy or RAF or candidates who have worked in rail and the commercial vehicle sector.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager as the Vehicle Technician/ Fitter you will be responsible for:

• Keeping the fleet in tip top condition for customers, boosting their safety record and ensuring that vehicles are maintained to the highest standards
• Working in a non-targeted workshop environment
• Undertaking routine maintenance and MOT preparation work
• Work in a fully equipped, busy vehicle repair workshop, maintaining the company's fleet of modern vehicles in-line with DVSA standards and practices.
• Carry out routine servicing and repairs.
• Undertake routine vehicle examinations.
• Use diagnostic equipment to diagnose faults and specifying the correct method of repair.
• Work in line with Engineering SOPs and VOSA testing requirements.

For the role of Vehicle Technician / Fitter, we are very keen to hear from:

• Anyone who has worked in the military within the REME or Royal Engineers, Navy or RAF
• Confident fitters from rail, commercial or heavy goods vehicle
• A fast-paced dealership-working environment looking to move into a friendly, relaxed and less targeted working environment.
• Field service engineer and could be looking for a more site based role

You will be :

• Qualified to City & Guilds NVQ level 3 or equivalent

• Have working knowledge of mechanical and electrical experience on domestic vehicles, HGV's, Heavy plant, PCV, Military vehicles, trains or and machinery.
• Be experienced using modern diagnostics, for example Jaltest and Techtool
