Workshop Engineer

Job Title: Workshop Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Mechanical Fitter

Location: Bolney

Hours: Monday to Friday

Salary: £25k - £30k DOE

Due to another year of growth and expansion, our client is currently looking for a Technician / Engineer to join their successful and busy team.

You will be responsible for carrying out installations and training of hydraulic levelling systems and Air Suspension systems for motorhomes, caravans, ambulances and other specialist vehicles.

The role is predominantly workshop based at the Head Office in Bolney but also at Client's premises on occasion.

Responsibilities:

• Competently fitting the hydraulic and suspension systems to customer vehicles.
• Fault diagnosis and repair support to customers and equipment as needed.
• Follow fitting instructions and use own initiative to overcome any complications as they may arise.
• Demonstrating completed works to Customers.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams to ensure that wiring is correctly installed.
• Carry out fabrication / MIG welding duties as required.
• To record and report all service / repair issues correctly to ensure full resolution of task.
• To promote and maintain good relations with customers, maintaining standards and promoting the good image of the company.
• To provide telephone technical support when required.
• To comply with all aspects of health and safety good practice during daily tasks.
• Attend workshops and further training as and when required.
• Demonstrating completed works to Customers.

The Person:

• You will be an experienced multi-skilled technician with experience of fitting out vehicles
• Competent all round fabrication skills
• Presentable and personable
• Motivated to work unsupervised with the ability to work to deadlines
• A flexible approach to your work.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to keep a calm and collected manner in challenging situations
• You must hold a full, current, UK Driving license
• You must have your own hand tools
