A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join an established manufacturing and specialist part supplier as a Technical Workshop Manager, our client boasts a fantastic record of longevity with-in their current workforce, as well as proven career progression. This is a new role within the company, which will initially be a shadowing role due too the future retirement of their current Technical Works Director, who progressed through the business, spanning a career with the company of over 30 years.

Initially the successful Technical Works Managers main responsibilities will be of a mechanical nature, with a lot of involvement with current and prospect Customers, designing machinery to suit Customers needs from concept to commission. Working with outsourced Software companies. Visiting Customers along with Field Sales Engineers on occasion to ascertain and certify their need as well research trips. The role will develop and further responsibilities develop including taking control of the day to day management of 15 employees who work within a skilled Workshop, and small Warehouse. Leading on-site Customer visits for these departments. Organising and communicating with management team the companies displays and demonstrations at annual trade show.

The successful Technical Works Manager will demonstrate previous experience within a similar Technical/Operations/Manufacturing Management role. The ideal candidate will be a time served Engineer of either an Mechanical or Electrical bias. As an individual you will need to demonstrate drive, initiative, and a good train of thought. Strong people and communication skills are essential, along with a "Can do!" attitude. Previous Project Management experience would be advantageous. As previously mention longevity is a big factor to all current employees at this company, and we are hoping that this would be demonstrated in previous employment.
